Look and feel
Flip phones are now finally affordable! This appears to be a high-end product! And since this bag is made of genuine leather, it feels unique. That is very. Although the fold was nice, holding it makes it appear more polished. Even in terms of hardware, the product is more optimized.

Build Quality
In the center, there is a 1.32″ display with widgets. Due to the camera module and other items located here, it leans somewhat to the top. Because it is top heavy, you will need to hold it in this position, and it will feel a bit heavy. Yet, other from that, it feels wonderful in the hand. And it is unquestionably portable. Speaking about the hinge, it is made of steel and bears the word Phantom. Phantom is written on it, but I can’t find any mention of Tecno elsewhere. Excellent! Here is the V4 branding. This seems really great as well. A lovely touch, without a doubt. It’s constructed of steel, as I’ve already mentioned, but the frame is also composed of metal. So, they haven’t compromised. To reduce the cost, they made compromises. Then this
display
it’s a 6.9” AMOLED display. It’s an LTPO display, which means it’ll dynamically refresh from 10Hz to 120Hz. So that’s good. It also supports HDR10+. The display is tall & the bezels are thin. The chin & upper bezels are thin. The selfie camera is at the centre punch hole. There are 2 cameras here. There are some interesting things about the cameras. Talking about the cover display, it’s a 1.32” display. Talking about the brightness, the display is 1000 nits & the outer display is 800 nits. And you also get 60Hz refresh rate. It’s not 120Hz, it’s the inner brightness.
Performance
There are a lot of videos coming up! Specifications It comes with Dimensity 8050 SoC, which is a successor to Dimensity 1300. I don’t know if it’s a naming convention, but it’s 8050. It’s AnTuTu score is around 7.5 L. Which I think is very decent in this Rs 50K price range for a flip phone. There’s only 1 variant with 8GB RAM & 256GB storage. It has LPDDR4X RAM type & UFS 3.1 storage type. It has a 4000mAh battery with 45W charging. For a flip phone, that’s quite good. And you should use it all day as it has a 6Nm processor. So it’s a decent day long battery life. Performance You can easily play games on medium-high settings. We’ve played some games & it’s a big & tall screen. But obviously, a flip phone is not a gaming device, but it’s still fun to play games.
Camera

Cameras- It has 64MP RGBW & a 13MP ultrawide sensor with a 32MP selfie sensor. You can do video calling internally. You can take a selfie like this too. It’s called a free cam mode, so you can work hands free. There are 2-3 interesting things, you can take a selfie but you can’t close the camera. If you want to click like this, you can take a selfie with the 13MP ultrawide sensor. The quality is decent in normal conditions, we didn’t spend much time. We’re going to take a lot of photos in different conditions. I’m giving you the G-Drive link in the original quality. It’s stored there, so do check out the photos & videos before you make a decision to buy this phone. If I talk about the video graphics, you can get 4K 30FPS on the rear & 2K 30FPS on the selfie. If I talk about the camera features, there’s AI Cam Mode, Portrait Mode, Video Mode. These are all the standard modes like Time Lapse, SkyShop, AR Shot, Pro Mode, Super Macro, Panorama, Document, Slow Motion. Yeah, everything that you want is there. It would’ve been nice if there were some small things, but it’s priced at Rs 50K, so I’m ok with it.
Ui
You can use a lot of widgets on it. This is for weather, notifications, camera etc. So, oh yeah, look at this! You can click a selfie like this. It’s a round display, look at that! You can see the reviews too. So it’s quite a useful display. It’s a small display, but it’s useful. You can do a lot of things on it. And then you can also have your pet & all those things. So, it’s not bad. There are activity rings, alarm clock, timer etc. There’s a stopwatch, you can record too. You can record your voice, there’s weather, add widgets. You can add widgets by opening it. There are watch faces too. So basically, it’s a combination of a flip phone & a smartwatch. So, a smartphone, flip phone & smartwatch. If I talk about the UI, it looks clean too. There are some interesting features in it. It has an LTPO 120Hz display, so you can feel the smoothness. You get 8GB physical RAM along with 8GB virtual RAM. It has HiOS 13.5 which is based on Android 13. There are some 1st party & 3rd party apps that you can uninstall like Spotify, Instagram etc. But overall, I feel it’s giving me a clean UI feel. So that’s very important. There are many pop-ups & bloatwares, but they’re within limits. One more interesting thing, we don’t expect much from TECNO. But they’ve said that they’re going to give major updates for 2 years & security updates for 3 years. So that’s good. There’s another feature, there’s an app called Ella which is basically an assistant. This is the 1st I’ve seen on a phone. There are other small features too.
Battery
Battery : 45W Fast Charging | Powerful 4000mAh Big Battery (33% Charge in just 10 minutes) Camera : 32MP Selfie | 64MP Rear Camera (Ultra Clear, Flexible Angles, RGBW Night Shot)
Other Features
There are stereo speakers, they’re loud & good. There’s a big display, it’s full HD. There’s HDR support on YouTube, not on Netflix. But there’s a big display & good sound. You’re going to enjoy it for multimedia. There are sensors, side mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, everything works well. Connectivity, there’s WiFi 6, 5G, all bands are supported. It has Bluetooth 5.1, NFC & a step counter. Interestingly, these expensive phones don’t have FM radio but it has FM radio. There are 14 5G bands in total.
Conclusion
Wireless charging should have been included, but it isn’t. The Tecno Phantom V Flip is this. It has a nice appearance. It looks beautiful and feels good in the hand. The interior display is likewise excellent. Despite being tiny, the front display is really attractive. It’s not an exact replica. That looks good. Even though it has a tiny screen, it offers features like 8–10 widgets and can be used as a watch. They are all great things, then. Also, the performance is respectable for the pricing range.
